If you do not need that, the seat can be used in the same manner as a normal drivers seat. There is more clearance for entry and interior head room for a wheelchair passenger in this van. The van also has an anchor system to secure wheelchair. This would be a great van for someone in need of a wheelchair accessible van for less money than about anywhere else.
